Ceremonial opening of the MRI department

In accordance with the project activities and plan, on June 19, 2026, the MRI department within the Vršac General Hospital was ceremoniously opened.

The procurement and installation of the devices were carried out within the project, and thanks to this project itself and with the support of the European Union, the hospital received modern diagnostic equipment that will contribute to faster and more accurate diagnosis, especially in the field of neurological, psychiatric and other diseases.

The event was opened by the Acting Director of the hospital, Dr. Jelena Djokic, and the gathering was also addressed by the Mayor of the City of Vršac, Ms. Dragana Mitrović, and the Acting Assistant Minister for European Integration, Mr. Nemanja Martinović. The gathering was also attended by guests from Romania, as well as officials and representatives of other health institutions in the region, the Republic Health Insurance Fund, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the Ministry of Health, associates of the Vršac General Hospital and employees of the institution.
